I love Pete's BBQ ever since I moved to SF.
Always fast and friendly service, perfect food for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
I always order the ribs, they are just wonderful.
The baked potato is also extra yummy with a big blob of sour cream in it! Then I get a refreshing Orangina that always makes me happy. -

Still the BEST barbecue in SF. This place has been open since before I was born. I remember coming here as a kid in the 90's and enjoying their fresh chicken bbq dinner plates. They make their sauce in house and cook their chicken and ribs to perfection.
This place is still cash only so be prepared when you enter. It's worth it! -

Who doesn't love Pete's? BBQ chicken & ribs; get ur veggies with beet or garden salad. Who knows? Maybe one day branch out for the spaghetti?
I've had rhapsodic conversations with near strangers about Pete's BBQ. The chicken, the baked potatoes, the salads, the roll!
Where else can you:
1) eat so well for under $10;
2) eat with such a cross-section of San Franciscans;
3) be treated with such kindness & civility?
Pete's feeds heart & soul. -

Love going to this place after the gym.... why? Because the portions are enormous and the food is made from scratch. Also, the pricing is cheap for the quantity of food you receive.
My goto is the 1/4 chicken drenched in BBQ sauce, baked potato with butter, cucumber salad, and a giant roll. Its $9.80 out the door.
All of the chickens are cooked rotisserie style. The rotisserie sits in the front window and you can watch them cook from the street. Its actually kind of mesmerizing.
The BBQ sauce they use here is not spicy, but feel free to grab some of the hot sauce.
Tip: If you ask, there happy to drench you with extra BBQ sauce. -

Bbq sauce + juicy chicken = heaven
Ordered the combo just perfect for a lunch or dinner. Variety of salads to pick from and perfectly cooked potato.
Space is limited. A lot of people take it to go.
Loved that the owners was cool enough to take a photo with me.
